Project Code Name: Evolution
Problem: There is no denying that Pakistan's growing economy is on the right track, however, facing some incredibly serious challenges in the face of fierce competition from other growing economies in the South Asian region. Without proper training, the new generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and workers are often making decisions that are either not well thought out or lack experience and expertise that hinders growth and ends up costing millions of dollars in wasted resources. Contrary to the facts, culturally, there is also a perception that investments in marketing, training and/or development of non-IT skills is a cost center and not a revenue generator. These beliefs hinders growth immensely and leaves many companies stagnant, even when they have the immense potential to breakthrough, engage with clients abroad, and generate revenues by expanding their business in virgin markets.
Objective: To build an organization or consortium that becomes the thought leader and "go-to" brand for every emerging company in Pakistan that is interested in expansion and growth in overseas markets.
Discovery Phase - Need to Identify the Need in the Market & Potential Buyers
Our initial goal is to identify the need and how severe (or not) that need is. There are hundreds of companies in Pakistan that have a deep desire to grow and breakthrough their molds. There are thousands (maybe millions) of entrepreneurs who have the intestinal fortitude to change the world. We are interested in identifying the profiles of individuals, businesses and organizations who are looking to leverage the "know-how" from an American perspective that will help them drive growth, increase revenues, and succeed in international markets and compete against other economies in the region.

Based on some of the initial conversations (with companies and experts in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Washington DC, NYC and London), we have been accumulating ideas and what that end-solution might look like. We believe it's a hybrid model that facilitates an operation in the U.S. and Pakistan with significant presence in both countries. Here are a few possible solutions and examples:

Growth Workshops: Workshops specifically designed to help Pakistani companies grow abroad. These workshops are initially led by American or European instructors and business leaders. Depending on the need these could be half day, full day, or longer. Workshops could also be divided into high level topics, as well as specific topics that provides very targeted guidance on certain subject areas. If affordability is an issue, our model could potentially enable a few companies to chip into the cost for a shared-services model.
Transformation Events: This idea focuses on a series of large transformation focused conferences being hosted in three major cities, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The conference will focus on international keynotes, panel conversations, vendor section, workshops, training, and networking events. The potential revenue streams could be sponsorships from businesses, educational institutions, government agencies and organizations, and ticket sales with additional opportunities. This could also be market to international companies (based in other countries) that are interested in investing in Pakistan. Historically, these events gradually increase in numbers every year and could offer additional opportunities and revenue streams.
Strategic Growth Consulting: There are emerging companies in Pakistan that face the challenge of expansion and growth abroad. These strategic growth consulting options are designed for these companies who need guidance on their readiness (legal and financial), their U.S. growth and marketing strategy, hybrid sales enablement models, guidance on partnerships and much more. These are hourly billable consulting engagements led by U.S. based teams. This could be done remotely or onsite.
